Barnacles

The Barnacles was a public art piece design by Aspect Studios in Melbourne. The design was to offer cultural significance to an area whilst still providing light to a much used thoroughfare in Frankston (south of Melbourne).

The Barnacles are a series of mirror stainless steel and illuminated polycarbonate cubes mounted in clusters on and around corners of walls. Unfortunately the photographs do not do the artworks justice as when photographing mirrors all you see is reflections. Hopefully you get the idea and if you get down that way you can take look.
