Our role was to take a great concept and refine the structural design to ensure it functioned properly as the attractive form that it is. The structure was not too much of a problem, our challenge on this project was to design the lighting system. It had to be durable and effective but was difficult to create considering the space we had to work with and the potential for vandalism. Take note of how the corten steel is painted on one side and weathering on the other - This is another technique we have successfully developed. The sign was completely fabricated in Adelaide, transported to Victoria in sections, and assembled on site. All managed from here in SA.
